Like so many before him, David was taken to his first game by his father.<\/p>

A trembling tot; a proud and determined Dad; the noises and smells which were to engulf him.<\/p>

This milestone occurred at the old Ninian Park, former home of Cardiff City. You can read David\u2019s account<\/a> of this iconic evening, as Collins Snr sewed the seeds which would both flower and flounder over the coming decades.<\/p>

Ninian Park will be known to many. As the 60s closed, the Old Lady became all things to all men. It also became David\u2019s second home through to adulthood.<\/p>

David can still be spotted on the terraces (sic) of the new Cardiff City Stadium, where the giant floodlights and swirling stands of Ninian Park are now a distant memory.<\/p>
