David is used to hauling his laptop around famous international venues and the heights of world game. Enjoy this account of his Champions League adventure with Connah’s Quay Nomads for example!
However, he is also a keen champion of the day to day domestic scene here in Wales
Unsurprisingly, David usually finds time to jot down his thoughts about such outings, or network with his media contacts to lend his voice to their work.
David has developed into something of a follower of Cardiff MET. Its an unusual club, being based firmly in the Cyncoed Campus of one of the capital’s universities. He has developed enough enthusiasm for The Archers to even follow them to away games at times.
Welshpool, Penybont and Aberystwyth Town are amongst the grounds he has visited to cheer the students on.
David was pleased to collaborate with his pals from the 94th Minute website to help produce a detailed commentary on Cardiff MET. We hope you enjoy it. Let’s hope the Cymru Premier League continues to grow from strength to strength.
David also enjoys poking about around the Ardal Leagues. This might involve trips to far flung outposts in West Wales, or mouthwatering clashes nearer home.
For example, enjoy Alex Feeney’s colourful dialogue about his day out with David watching Cwmbran Celtic host TNS in the 2023 Welsh Cup. Warren writes regularly on all aspects of Welsh football. It’s a lovely account of the beautiful game.
David also enjoyed a trip to Penydarren Park in 2025 as Merthyr Town hit the FA Cup trail. Here is a social media post: “Martyrs made hard work of this. 1-0 up via OG & visitors missed a pen with last kick of the 1st 1/2. Organised defensive resilience kept it to 1-0 for an hour until @MerthyrTownFC edged ahead with a neat goal. Two late goals gave the score a better feel.”
It seems that no game is to far down the pyramid for David. He is also always keen to record the proceedings and chronicle exciting times ahead.
David contemplated the very future of Welsh football in 2025. After all, that is what he does.
