Aside from spending time on the terraces down the years, David has also supported a variety of fans’ initiatives designed to improve the relationship between football clubs and their fan base.

David is a former board member of Cardiff City Supporters Trust and remains a Trust member to this day.

The Trust aims to maintain a regular dialogue with the club on behalf of supporters and encourages the club to take account of its supports and the community it serves, in its decision-making.

David has lent his creative talents to the Trust, writing regularly for its magazine Moving to a Different Beat. Feel free to wander through back copies of the publication on-line to enjoy David’s contemplations.

Sometimes he doesn’t mention Cardiff City at all, like in this review of fellow Trust member Tim Hartley’s excellent book, The World at your Feet.

David was also especially pleased to support the Trust’s Oral History Project, where Tim quizzed David on his obsession with the Bluebirds.
