You thought it was all over (2026)

Karen Struel-White is very happy to announce that David Collins has joined KSW Network as an Executive producer on the ‘You thought it was all over’ script by PT Rose. The script characters include Bobby and Jack Charlton, their devoted mother Cissie, Sir Alf Ramsey, Sir Matt Busby, George Best and Eusebio. The next WORLD CUP is the 60th anniversary of the one and only time England raised the trophy.

It is the right time to pay homage to the soccer stars of the past who led the team to that victory. David commented. “I’m very excited to be part of this unique project. I grew up marvelling at the skills of Best and Charlton. That famous 1966 game remains one of my earliest football memories. I look forward to contributing my enthusiasm for the Beautiful Game to the work of the team.” David has a wealth of footballing knowledge and contacts which will be an incredible asset to the show.

David Collins has stretched his legs as a writer for many years. Having cut his teeth in the world of football fanzines in the 90s. His writing now spans many titles, publications and websites. His modern work often reaches out beyond sport and even includes a dalliance with poetry. David has served his time in the trenches, observing the highs and lows of life as a football fan, chronicling the agony and ecstasy along the way. He brings all of this colourful experience to our project.

A respected figure in the football media landscape of South Wales, David is now growing his reputation to a wider audience. “We are delighted to have him in the team” said Karen in January 2026. Enjoy this radio interview about the project here.
